What We Believe

 Our mission is simply:  To walk with Jesus; be with Jesus and let Him be known.

We use this Biblical passage as our vision statement:  "You shall love the Lord your God with all our heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself".  Luke 10:27

St Matthew's Mission and Vision statements reflect God's threefold purpose for the congregation:

1. To place God’s will before our own; to demonstrate our love and complete obedience to God by seeking His will in everything we do.
2. To nurture, educate and grow our parish family… so that we in turn may be effective ministers to the needs of our community, the nation and the world.
3. To love one another unconditionally: to be everything He desires for us: and to welcome all members into the body of Christ. 

We continue to follow the heritage of our Anglican roots by viewing, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, scriptural revelation, ancient tradition and reason as essential for the understanding of our faith and discerning God's will.
